Chapter 6

"Jiajia!" Wen Chen’s face flushed bright red, though whether from embarrassment or anger, it was hard to tell.

"Why are you being so mean, Uncle?" Luo Qingjia looked utterly aggrieved, tears welling up in his eyes. "If you don't want to, then forget it. I'll figure out a way myself."

Figure out a way? What way? Find some toys himself or... find a man?

"Absolutely not!" Wen Chen was so livid his chest ached. The veins at his temples throbbed as his fury surged.

But the moment he met those tear-filled doe eyes, his anger evaporated instantly. Only ashes remained, clogging his chest and bringing a dull, lingering ache.

"Jiajia, you’re still young. There’s no rush for this kind of thing." Wen Chen’s tone softened. As he tended to the minor scrape on Luo Qingjia’s knee, he spoke with the gentle, guiding patience of a loving father.

"Hiss!" Luo Qingjia sharply inhaled. A crystal-clear teardrop slipped from the corner of his eye. whether from anger or pain, it was hard to say.

Convinced his baby boy was crying from the pain, Wen Chen quickly leaned in to gently blow on the rosy knee, his face etched with blatant distress.

Luo Qingjia tried his best to ignore the tingling sensation spreading from his knee to the rest of his body. Lowering his voice, he kept his tone as steady and matter-of-fact as possible:

"Wen Chen, I'm not young anymore. I'm sexually mature. If a ripe fruit isn't picked, it will rot."

Wen Chen paused his blowing, his Adam’s apple bobbing. He stood up and took his time packing away the first-aid kit, his posture elegant and his expression the picture of serene composure.

However, Luo Qingjia noticed that the medical supplies were tossed in haphazardly, a stark contrast to Wen Chen’s usual meticulous nature.

Tsk, tsk. The older man really knew how to put on an act.

"Your wound is all cleaned up. Don't move just yet, Jiajia. Uncle will go get your breakfast." Barely finishing his sentence, Wen Chen practically fled toward the kitchen, his steps losing their usual steady rhythm.

It took several long minutes before Wen Chen returned carrying a tray. A main dish, fresh fruit, and a drink—everything was perfectly prepared.

Looking at Wen Chen’s forced facade of calm, Luo Qingjia couldn't help but find it amusing.

Every time this man made breakfast, he stored it in a custom thermal container to lock in the freshness. It never needed reheating and could be served immediately. Even the fruit and drinks were always prepped in advance.

So, why did he dawdle in the kitchen for so long?

Gee, how hard to guess.

"Here, eat it while it's hot." Wen Chen sat down beside Luo Qingjia as naturally as breathing. He offered up a bowl of mouth-watering crab roe wontons, positioning himself as if he intended to hold the bowl for him the entire meal.

Luo Qingjia felt a rush of warmth and a pang of hunger, but he stubbornly turned his head. "I'm not eating. I have no appetite," he said, his tone petulant.

Wen Chen let out a barely perceptible sigh. "If you're a good boy and finish your breakfast, Uncle will agree to... that thing you wanted."

"What thing?" Luo Qingjia tilted his head to glance at him, feigning both confusion and impatience.

Met with that coquettish, reproachful glare, Wen Chen shifted his gaze away uncomfortably.

"Do you mean the part about helping me take care of my physical needs?" Luo Qingjia purposely let his words blur with suggestion. "I... mmph!"

Before he could utter anything more scandalous, a plump wonton was shoved directly into his mouth.

The savory flavor completely overwhelmed his senses. He instantly forgot what he was about to do and just happily chewed and chewed.

After the wontons came grapes, and after the grapes came coconut water. Fully satiated, a carb-induced food coma quickly set in, and in a daze, he allowed Wen Chen to carry him back to his bedroom.

He wanted to sleep the moment his back hit the mattress, but the older man refused to let him lie flat. A long arm scooped up his limp body and propped him against the headboard.

"Be good, Jiajia. Don't lie down right after eating. Sit up against the pillows for a bit to digest before you sleep," Wen Chen murmured softly into his ear, as if terrified of startling his drowsiness away.

The man’s voice was deep and impossibly sexy. Luo Qingjia felt his mind wander to inappropriate places. Add to that the scorching breath fanning against the side of his neck, sending a shiver of electricity down his spine—and any trace of sleepiness completely vanished.

Fortunately, his frequent food comas and habit of feigning sleep had honed his acting skills to perfection.

"Nnn..." Luo Qingjia furrowed his brows slightly, keeping his beautiful eyes shut tight. His voice was thick and laced with heavy sleepiness. "I'm so tired... and my butt hurts. I don't wanna sit up..."

With that, he lifted his hips and leaned forward, melting like a liquid cat until he went completely limp in Wen Chen's embrace. He mumbled as if sleepwalking,

"Wen Chen... I hurt my butt when I fell too. It hurts a lot! Why didn't you rub some ointment on it for me?"

At those words, the man—who had been just about to push him away gently froze. He immediately shifted their position, letting Luo Qingjia drape himself comfortably across his firm, muscular thighs.

Subconsciously, the man seemed to want to inspect the injury. But the moment his large palm brushed against the soft curve of Luo Qingjia's buttocks, his hand recoiled as if burned, clearly having just remembered that he needed to maintain boundaries.

It was obvious. The moment Luo Qingjia showed any sign of pain, Wen Chen’s heartache became impossible to hide.

However, regarding his earlier complaint about his butt hurting... did this man assume he meant the pain from being spanked?

Tsk, tsk. Was the pain from a spanking not considered a 'real' injury? Did it not warrant sympathy? Or did he really think that rubbing ointment on it once would magically fix everything?

Impossible. This wasn't over. He was definitely going to milk this for all it was worth.

If the sting from the spanking healed too quickly, he wouldn't mind slapping his own ass a few times to keep the mark. Either way, he was dead set on sinking his claws into this man.

He would use this red, swollen backside of his to remind Wen Chen just how flimsy his "I'm raising you like a son" excuse really was. He planned to bring up his spanked bottom both subtly and explicitly just to hammer the memory into the old prude's brain.

Wen Chen wanted to play Daddy? Fine. But he could only be "Daddy" in bed.

"This part hurts way worse than anywhere else I scraped! Because you smacked it raw last night!" Luo Qingjia grumbled indignantly, reaching back to rub his own rear end.

"Jiajia, I'm sor—"

Before the word could leave his lips, Luo Qingjia cut him off, mumbling to himself as if caught deep in a dream.

"In your eyes... is my ass any different from the rest of my body? Didn't you say you were raising me as a son? Does a father really need to keep his distance from his son like this?"

"Or... is it because I didn't call you 'Daddy'? Are you mad about that, so you won't help me?"

"But... before, just to make my boyfriend happy, I promised him I'd 'only call him Daddy in bed.' Meaning, he was the only one I'd ever call that."

"...Never mind. You're way more important than any boyfriend. And I guess we are technically on a bed right now... Why don't we just do it secretly, behind his back? Please, Daddy?"

"Daddy, my butt hurts so much. Please help me..."

"Pretty please~ Daddy~"

"..."

Luo Qingjia never anticipated that his eyes-closed, rambling "chant" would work as such an effective self-hypnosis. Without realizing it, he actually drifted off to sleep. He had absolutely no idea how Wen Chen reacted, if the man did anything to him, or when he finally left the room.

By the time he woke up, the comforting scent of Wen Chen had long since dissipated.

Only the robot "A-Chen" stood by the bed. Its lips curled into a handsome yet deeply uncanny smile as it spoke in a mechanical voice:

"Good morning, Little Master! The Master is currently in a video conference in the study. He has ordered me to take good care of you." [Smile.jpg]

"Compared to 002, I am equipped to perform a far wider range of tasks, including carrying you to the bathroom. Please set your mind at ease." [Smile.jpg]

This "A-Chen" was one of the birthday gifts Wen Chen had given him the day before, officially codenamed 003.

003, as the name implied, was the third-generation model of its series. It was a cutting-edge robotic assistant that Wen Chen had poured a massive fortune into developing exclusively for him, boasting an artificial intelligence level that led the globe.

Both 002 and 003 were birthday gifts from Wen Chen, but 001 was an exception.

He received 001 the year he turned eighteen. It was waiting for him when he moved back home after a brief stint living on campus. Wen Chen had presented it to him, claiming the robot would be a far more attentive and reliable living assistant.

Meanwhile, the human "older brother" assistant who used to look after him had pocketed a massive severance package and happily skipped town, not even bothering to say goodbye.

Luo Qingjia actually really liked his robotic assistants, and for three main reasons.

First, robots simply weren't as nimble as actual humans when it came to physical tasks, and they lacked a certain "human touch." Even when he constantly complained about them, they couldn't argue back. This gave him an endless supply of excuses to remain utterly dependent on Wen Chen.

Ever since his live-in assistant had been swapped for a machine, Wen Chen’s care for him had become infinitely more meticulous. The man spent so much time doting on him that he couldn't even spare a moment to go on blind dates.

The second reason was that he could decipher the subtle shifts in Wen Chen's attitude toward him just by observing details like how the robots were named.

001 hadn't had a name. 002 was named "Xiao Jia" by Wen Chen. And 003 was named "A-Chen" by Luo Qingjia himself.

Actually, back when 001 was first activated, he had wanted to name it "A-Chen," but Wen Chen had ruthlessly vetoed the idea.

The following year, Wen Chen decided to strike first. He modeled the new robot after Luo Qingjia's own face, making it entirely logical to name 002 "Xiao Jia."

When he received 002 on his nineteenth birthday, he had used the excuse of making a birthday wish to make an outrageous demand: "For 003, I want it to be modeled after Wen Chen's face. That way, it'll feel like he's with me every single second, and I won't ever be lonely."

Because of his passionate attempt to literally offer himself up to the older man that day, the two of them had ended up having a massive, unpleasant falling out.

Wen Chen had even gone so far as to utter the harsh words, "You should go find a boyfriend."

Yet, despite things ending on such a sour note, Wen Chen had still used his own face to model 003. He even allowed Luo Qingjia to call the robot "A-Chen."

...With all of that, how could Luo Qingjia possibly believe Wen Chen when he claimed he only saw him as family?

"A-Chen, rub my butt. Use moderate pressure and adjust your palm temperature to around 40 degrees Celsius."

Luo Qingjia knelt at the edge of the bed, completely bare from the waist down, as he issued the command to 003. His voice sounded calm and steady, but the wicked grin playing on his lips was utterly impossible to hide.

He had discovered the third reason long ago: the robotic assistants had another crucial, hidden function.

Whenever Wen Chen was away, they used concealed cameras to record Luo Qingjia’s every word and action, syncing the feed directly to Wen Chen in real-time.

He knew Wen Chen wasn't a pervert. The older man only hid behind a screen to watch him out of deep concern, worried about whether he was eating properly or sleeping well. There were no underlying dirty intentions on Wen Chen's end.

But he himself was a pervert.

Luo Qingjia had plenty of filthy, unspeakable thoughts.

Just the thought that Wen Chen would eventually see this particular piece of surveillance footage was enough to make him shiver with pure excitement.

---

"Holy shit! Bro, you're getting a nosebleed! I told you that staying single for this long was gonna backfire and make you sick!"

Yuan Ting’s dramatic, over-the-top voice echoed through the understated luxury of the study.

Click.

With one hand, Wen Chen abruptly ended the video call. With the other, he snatched up a tissue to aggressively plug the sudden flow of blood from his nose.

His WeChat notifications began pinging relentlessly.

Wen Chen wanted to ignore the phone completely, but the pulse-pounding, blood-boiling image remained stubbornly burned into his mind. Desperate for a distraction, he finally tapped on Yuan Ting's voice messages.

Yuan Ting was his best friend and right-hand man. He also happened to be the older brother of Jiajia’s scumbag ex-boyfriend.

【Dude, what is up with you? I saw your medical check-up report for this month, and you're healthy as a damn horse. Don't tell me you really just got a nosebleed from being too horny?】

【Good thing you didn't start bleeding out of your nose during the main video conference just now. Otherwise, your perfect image as a cold, ascetic CEO would've been completely ruined!】

【Seriously though, what triggered that? We were literally just talking about work! No matter how pent up you are, you shouldn't be getting turned on during such a boring conversation. Don't tell me—】

【Do you have a sexy little wildcat hidden away over there? Was someone deliberately seducing you while you were in a meeting?】

【Tsk, tsk. No wonder you suddenly switched such an important meeting to a remote video call.】

【Hey, hey, why aren't you replying? Did that sexy wildcat really set you on fire?】

【Take it easy, man. When an older guy like you finally catches feelings, it’s like a dry house catching fire—it burns fierce and fast. Try not to completely devour your little wildcat.】

Wen Chen: "..."

It wasn't a little wildcat.

But he really was undeniably sexy.

So sexy that it was impossible to look away.
