Chapter 21: Why Are You Holding Me?
Niannian wasn’t foolish. Based on the conversation between his two older brothers, he could guess what kind of person this "Gu Tingfei" they were discussing was.
Although he didn’t fully understand the complexities involved, one thing was clear to him.
Gu Tingfei was taking advantage of his eldest brother.
The card in his hand suddenly felt like a hot potato. Niannian, who was usually emotionally steady, didn’t throw it directly into the trash in front of the camera. Instead, he carefully placed it back on the coffee table as if nothing had happened.
His cheeks burned with embarrassment, and his heart was filled with regret.
He had spoken well of that scheming brother in front of his eldest brother. Would his eldest brother dislike him now?
"Didn’t you say earlier that you wanted to go to the amusement park?" Su Yanheng, unaware of Niannian’s inner turmoil, pinched the cheek of the dazed child. "Come on, I’ll take you to the amusement park."
Niannian quickly perked up and clung to Su Yanheng’s arm.

Niannian always approached new things and long-awaited experiences with the utmost enthusiasm. Just like the three cakes he had never tasted that morning, which had captivated him completely. However, his excitement for the amusement park, a place he had never visited before, was noticeably restrained.
His mind was preoccupied with the matter between Su Yanheng and Gu Tingfei. He was deeply worried that Su Yanheng might distance himself because of it, so from the moment they left the house, he had been trembling with anxiety.
Throughout the journey, he clung to Su Yanheng, refusing to let go, afraid that if Su Yanheng released him, he would be abandoned.
Even with Su Yanheng’s excellent stamina, holding a child for several hours straight was exhausting.
Before leaving, Su Yanheng had specifically brought a stroller, thinking the little one could sit in it when tired. He had even prayed that the child wouldn’t tire too quickly, hoping to hold him a little longer. Now, experiencing this sweet dilemma, he realized for the first time just how effective his prayers had been.
As Su Yanheng’s stamina neared its limit, he managed to hold on for another ten minutes before persuading, "How about sitting in the stroller?"
Niannian instinctively refused, "No, Niannian wants to stay close to Brother."
Su Yanheng: "..."
This was truly going to be the death of him!
Both physically and emotionally.
[At first, I was so envious of Su Yanheng for being able to hold Niannian all the time. Now I understand just how painful "all the time" can be, haha!]
[Su Yanheng, isn’t this exactly what you wanted? Why are you complaining now? The baby letting you hold him is a blessing!]
[As adorable as the baby is, I have to say, holding a child for so long is really tiring, especially in the middle of summer!!]
[Even the baby’s unreasonable demands are somehow incredibly cute. I’m beyond saving!]
[Su Yanheng, if you don’t want to hold him, let me do it! I could hold him forever!]
Ji Suize had accompanied Ji Shiyu to the amusement park a few times before. On those occasions, he had been merely a companion, showing no interest in the rides, which he found childish. After being forced by Ji Shiyu to ride a small plane once, Ji Suize had sworn off such activities forever.
Before setting out, Ji Suize had prepared himself to be dragged around by Su Younian, expecting to accompany him on every ride. However, reality turned out to be the opposite of his expectations.
Su Younian was unusually clingy to Su Yanheng today. Whether it was due to fear of being outside or an instinctive reliance on an elder, Su Younian stuck to Su Yanheng like glue, refusing to be separated from him no matter what.
This time, Su Yanheng took the initiative to ask Su Younian to come down, but Su Younian shook his head like a rattle drum, questioning in his uniquely soft and sweet voice, "Don’t want to come down. Does Big Brother not want Niannian anymore?"
Niannian was genuinely afraid, but others couldn’t hear the fear in his voice, mistaking it for him acting spoiled.
Su Yanheng’s forehead was covered in beads of sweat, but upon hearing this, he mustered some strength again: "How could Big Brother not want you! If you don’t want to come down, then don’t. Big Brother will hold you. Be good, don’t cry."
Niannian hummed softly and tightened his arms around Su Yanheng’s neck. His palm brushed against Su Yanheng’s skin, feeling the sweat, and only then did he notice how much Su Yanheng was sweating. He looked at Su Yanheng’s face.
Some male celebrities have poor skin and need to wear foundation when going out, but Su Yanheng has a good complexion and doesn’t need makeup. Otherwise, his makeup would have been washed away by the sweat by now.
Niannian finally realized that he had clung to Su Yanheng for too long, and Su Yanheng’s stamina had reached its limit.
"Big Brother, put me down. I want to sit in the stroller."
Su Yanheng should have been happy, but instead, he asked in confusion, "Why do you want to come down now?"
He was the one who wanted to rest, but he also didn’t want his little brother to let go of him.
"Big Brother is tired," Niannian chose to tell the truth. "Big Brother should rest. When Big Brother isn’t tired anymore, you can hold me again."
Su Yanheng was almost moved to tears. He planted a kiss on the little one’s cheek, and as he moved, sweat poured from his forehead like raindrops onto Niannian’s face.
Niannian didn’t mind. He took out a small handkerchief from his shirt pocket, wiped the sweat from Big Brother’s face first, and then wiped his own.
[Aw, what a good baby! Who said our baby was spoiled earlier? He’s just a bit clingy, not spoiled at all!]
[After resting, he still wants to be held. In the end, you just want to be hugged! You little clingy thing!]
[Wuwuwu, what an angelic baby! Hurry, hurry, can’t the government distribute children like this?]
Su Yanheng was even more moved. Having hard work rewarded is one of the happiest things.
He kissed the little one’s cheek again, but Niannian pushed him away, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Big Brother, my face is all sweaty."
Su Yanheng: "What’s wrong with that?"
Niannian: "It’s smelly."
He didn’t want Big Brother to remember him with a smelly smell in the future.
Su Yanheng deliberately buried his face in Niannian’s neck and sniffed. "Smelly? I only smell sweetness."
Niannian was ticklish and burst into laughter.
Su Yanheng played with him for a while, rested briefly to regain some strength, and then asked his assistant to look after the two children while he went to the nearby dining area to buy something.
As soon as Su Yanheng left, Ji Suize immediately moved to Niannian’s stroller, spread his arms, and half-climbed into it.
Niannian thought Ji Suize wanted to play a game with him and grabbed Ji Suize’s outstretched hand. The next moment, Ji Suize’s arm wrapped around his waist, and he was forcibly lifted up.
Niannian: "..."
"Big Brother, why are you holding me?" Niannian’s scalp tightened with nervousness, his body trembling as he transformed back into a koala, clinging tightly to the lifeline before him.
The assistant watched in alarm and hurried forward to take Niannian, but a glance from Ji Suize froze him in place.
"Didn’t you want to be held?" Ji Suize imitated Su Yanheng’s actions, clumsily rocking Niannian’s body. His intention was to comfort Niannian, but it backfired.
Niannian was so startled by the sudden movement that goosebumps rose all over her skin, and even the bedhead from last night’s sleep trembled wildly with fear.

Niannian: Big Brother’s stamina isn’t great.
Su Younian, grown up: I’m sorry, I was ignorant! QAQ
