IBS - Chapter 42

Effective immediately after the agreement is signed,

[- 'B' shall delete all contacts in his phone, excluding family.

- 'B' shall also delete all social media accounts, including messaging apps.

- 'B' shall not engage in any physical relationships not permitted by 'A'.

- 'B' does not flirt with anyone other than Party A. The standard for "flirting" with others is determined by 'A.'.]

"Other" encompassed everyone, regardless of gender or trait. The definition of "flirting" was subjective. Any action Han Jinheon found unpleasant was flirting. I was dumbfounded by such cunning and vague conditions, but since I was already living that way, I easily agreed.

I had no man to have a physical relationship with anyway, and I wasn't contacting the people on this phone. Besides Seon Jun and Lee Joongwon, who were mentioned in the two-timing article, I had no idea who the others were. I had been living with the mindset that it was better not to contact anyone than to make a mistake.

As for Instagram, I went on it once out of boredom and was shocked. Han Sol had as many followers as a celebrity, and his feed was diverse. Up to this point, it was novel and nice, like I had become a celebrity. The problem was that the comments on the most recent posts were all insults. Just reading them was hurtful. Han Sol himself might have scoffed if he read them, but my heart was torn to shreds.

In any case, the four conditions were not unreasonable. Even though the standard for a "flirting" was subjectively vague, I decided to readily accept it for the sake of the building.

"I was going to add a condition related to emotions, but I stopped. I thought I'd seem too petty."

"What was the condition related to emotions?"

"That you should not like anyone, if possible, to prevent any trouble you might cause. And that you must reveal who you like."

"That's for sure. It would make a person seem petty."

How upset would this man be if he knew I liked him? It would be a relief if he just got upset. It's better than him feeling disgusted by me or finding my feelings unpleasant.

Han Jinheon presented another condition. This time, it was related to the manifestation induction plan.

[- 'B' shall not reverse his decision for any reason other than health-related ones.

- 'B' shall consistently take his medicine and diligently receive his injections. He shall not refuse the medicine for more than 3 days or the injections more than 4 times.

- 'B' shall not intentionally receive the pheromones of another Alpha without the consent of 'A'.]

He added more details to the pheromone-related condition.

[- 'B' shall have a session of receiving pheromones from 'A' at least once a day, for one to two hours.]

Han Jinheon whispered in my ear.

"I'll guard your hole for you."

However, he said any other skinship would be for the sake of my manifestation. He said that even if I didn't want it, we had to touch skin, mix saliva, and share body heat as much as possible for the pheromones to penetrate deeply.

"Just guarding isn't enough, is it?"

My face flushing uncontrollably, I lowered my voice as much as possible and protested.

"Are you really going to do anything and everything with me? Do you have to do this just because I didn't tell you who I like?"

"It started that way, but now it's merely a reason. To manifest with fewer side effects, we have to do whatever it takes."

"Even if I had told you who I liked... would you have done this?"

"Well. If you put it that way, I can't give you a sure answer. Why, do you hate the idea of doing anything and everything with me?"

Are you afraid it will be like yesterday again? All we did was a peck. You might have to do more than that, so you should try to accept it. Is it okay to be such a baby?

Even though his voice was soft enough for only me to hear, I was already overwhelmed by Han Jinheon's presence. My face was hot and I was embarrassed, and even when I tried to pull my head away, he followed, pressing my body down like a squashed pancake.

If I had my way, I'd want to tell this Alpha boldly. Go ahead, try doing more. As someone who likes you, I'd welcome it anytime. But regardless of my feelings, it was impossible in our relationship. How many times would I have to realize this and be frustrated before I stopped having expectations from the very beginning?

Even if I got over these feelings, with someone like Han Jinheon, I would end up liking him again and getting my hopes up.

"Secretary Song, this tea tastes great!"

"I only brewed it. If it suits your taste, shall I tell you the brand?"

The chatter between Lawyer Park and Secretary Song brought me back to my senses. They probably couldn't hear my conversation with Han Jinheon, but becoming aware of their presence nearby made me too embarrassed to lift my head.

"Check it over before we finalize."

At Han Jinheon's words, I scratched my chin and examined the agreement again. Perhaps because I was 'B', it seemed very tight on me. It didn't seem unjust, but it did look a bit immoral.

"One, two, three…."

I counted how many things 'A' was asking of 'B'. I only had two requests, but Han Jinheon had more than seven conditions for me. Shouldn't I ask for more to make it fair?

Han Jinheon, leaning languidly against the back of the sofa, crossed his legs and asked.

"Is there anything else you want to add?"

"Just a moment…."

No matter how hard I stared at the paper, nothing else I wanted as a condition came to mind, nor did I see anything to complain about. To be more precise, I didn't "want" to complain. Because if I could do anything and everything with Han Jinheon, I was fine with it. Because I wanted to satisfy my dark desires, even if I had to lean on a reason like this.

Just as Han Jinheon said a moment ago, maybe this agreement has now become a reason for me too. Putting the building aside, I've become more interested in the crumbs. How can this be? I had always thought money was more important than love, but surprisingly, the opposite was happening.

Han Jinheon was about to become more important than the building.

"Uhm……. Ah! There is one thing, is it okay if I say it?"

"Anything. It's best to say it when we're writing the agreement."

"It's about the building."

Hehe. I felt sheepish for no reason and smiled brightly. I even scratched the back of my head, where my hair was flipped up from a bad perm today.

"As you know, hyung, I don't have any money. Only the money my mom gave me.... So, what I mean is, I'd like you to pay for the expenses that arise during the gifting process and future expenses too. Like taxes or maintenance fees…."

"What?"

"Ah, I know! I have some shame! I'm definitely not asking you to cover them forever...! Just until I become an Omega and somehow gain the ability to support myself. Also…."

Han Jinheon, who was looking at me with a frown, raised his hand. He was telling me to stop for a moment. His expression, which had been tilted, showing he didn't understand the current situation, relaxed dispiritedly. It didn't stop there. Starting with a "Ha," a short laugh, he began to chuckle.

This time, I looked at him with an expression that said I couldn't understand him. It was baffling. It wasn't the right time to laugh, so his laughing was strange, and I didn't know how to react. Surely I didn't say something I shouldn't have. I thought I had said something quite realistic.

Since Han Jinheon, the one with the strongest presence, was shaking his shoulders and chuckling, the gazes of Secretary Song and Lawyer Park were on us in an instant. I lowered the head I had barely managed to raise. I was too embarrassed to show my face.

Before long, Han Jinheon covered his face with both hands to suppress his laughter. Seeming to have found his composure, he spoke to Park Hyungsoo, who was hesitating whether to write down my words or not, in a voice still laced with amusement.

"You don't have to write that down. Han Sol, you don't worry about that either. I'll take care of it even if you don't say it."

"But why did you laugh like that…."

With a sullen face, I leaned closer to Han Jinheon. As I whispered in his ear, he leaned towards me too.

"I'll explain when we're alone."

Why would he explain when we're alone? If he's going to explain, he should do it now.

My complaints were endless. Because Han Jinheon laughed like that, I had become a shameless person in front of them.

It would have been better if he had openly laughed at me, asking if I wanted that too, but for a man who rarely laughs to just laugh because he found it funny was even more embarrassing and upsetting.

"Executive Director and Han Sol-ssi, were you always on such good terms? Haha, it warms my heart to see it!"

Lawyer Park interjected with a good-natured laugh, but Han Jinheon didn't respond. He spoke with an indifferent face to Lawyer Park, who retreated, realizing his remark was ill-timed. It was a kind of warning.

"Someone like Lawyer Park would have already noticed. The events of today must be kept secret. You must not disclose them to anyone. Not even to the Chairman."

"Even to the Chairman? Yes, I understand."

Lawyer Park glibly drew a line across his lips with his hand. It meant he was zipping it.

His light attitude was not helpful. Han Jinheon pressed him once more. The events of today must not leak outside, and if they were to be leaked, he would unconditionally consider Lawyer Park the source of the leak and hold not just him, but his entire law firm accountable.

Being on bad terms with the head family of HANQ Group would be a huge blow. Park Hyungsoo nodded with a rather tense face. Seeing the complexion of the man who had been smiling warmly the whole time darken made me uncomfortable. It felt like my brother and I were threatening an innocent person.

The agreement concluded with the understanding that conditions could be added or rewritten as needed, and the Deed of Gift was completed with only the gifting date left blank. This was because we didn't know when I would manifest.

In addition, both the agreement and the deed of gift were to be notarized. Secretary Song gathered the papers neatly and put them in a document envelope, as if he would get them notarized for us.

When he said he would give us copies afterward, I said okay. I trusted them not to do anything strange behind my back.

Because I trusted them, there was also something that made me anxious. Was it a good idea to write this? Now that I've written it, it feels like I didn't really need to. Han Jinheon isn't the type to bluff, so he probably would have given it to me anyway. Since it's an agreement, it feels like I willingly put myself in a bind. There were too many conditions, which left a bad taste in my mouth.

And no matter what you write, it's always comfortable to be 'A' [the superior party]. Han Jinheon became 'A' because he was in the position to give me the building. As if it wasn't enough that he's like a 'A' in daily life, did he have to be 'A' on paper too? I, who had been glancing at Han Jinheon, answered my own question.

He deserves to be 'A'. He had the face for it.
