<Best> Golden Family Siblings Obsession

Advance party here. I devoured all 130 released chapters in a single day.

The male lead is completely obsessed and the female lead is utterly pitiful.

A guilt-free, obsessive, confinement, trash-can yummy (⋆ˆ ³ ˆ)♥

You won't regret boarding this ship. Oh, but there's something a little strange……

What is this? I was dumbfounded by the hallucination before my eyes. A semi-transparent panel like a dragonfly's wing was floating in midair with text written on it.

Thanks to my family's wealth, I had seen many strange objects before, but this was the first time I'd seen something so clearly see-through that wasn't even a glass window.

I was even more bewildered because most of the text written on the panel, which must have taken considerable effort and money to make, was incomprehensible.

"I don't understand what this means. Where did they rush to that there's an advance party? Is this some kind of code..."

I gently raised my hand. I tried to grab the panel with the writing, but my fingertips only touched empty air, startling me greatly.

My eyes widened and I trembled, then waved my hand through the air again, but still couldn't grasp either the text or the panel.

"What the..."

There were only two possibilities when such an incomprehensible thing happened. Either I had gone mad, or a crazy magician was playing tricks on me. The possibility of it being the work of someone with superpowers briefly crossed my mind, but I ruled that out.

'There’s no reason for a rare psychic, who should be in the Imperial Palace, to come all the way out to our remote territory to pull this kind of stunt.’

Therefore, since the former of the remaining options wasn't advantageous to me, I had no choice but to assume it was the latter, which made me feel wronged.

“Who are you? Why are you toying with me like this?”

I spoke to the crazy mage who I assumed was watching me with a trembling voice, but no one appeared.

Hello? Can you hear me? I called out anxiously several more times, but the person I sought did not reveal themselves.

Instead, my personal maid Ena entered the room with a puzzled look. It seemed she had misunderstood after hearing me calling out to someone repeatedly. I was about to wave my hand and say no, but then I thought to ask:

"Ena, can you see this?"

"See what?"

"This, this here."

I asked while repeatedly poking at the panel with my finger, but Ena still looked confused. When she asked what I was talking about, I was at a loss for words and could only say something strange.

"...The dust. It's shimmering in rainbow colors."

"Oh no! There's dust? I cleaned yesterday! I'm so sorry, my lady. I'll clean again right away."

What was actually shimmering in rainbow colors was the strange panel, but... Ena couldn't see it and was startled by my made-up excuse, hurrying out of the room.

Left alone, I felt a bit dizzy. I was increasingly feeling that this panel was closer to being a symptom of my mental illness rather than the prank of a crazy magician.

Soon after, Ena returned with cleaning tools like a broom and shooed me out of the room, saying she needed to clean.

Unfortunately, the panel followed me as I moved. I felt like I was going to cry.

***

Kicked out of my room, I holed up in my personal study to examine the panel. Though it was frightening and terrible to face a situation I couldn't comprehend with my mind, I had no choice but to confront it if I wanted to resolve it, since it wouldn't just disappear if I ignored it.

'I can't keep asking others if they can see it either...'

If I did that, rumors might spread that the noble daughter of Count Estarote had gone mad and was seeing hallucinations, so I had to try to solve this on my own as much as possible.

Upon closer inspection, the transparent panel was about the size of two or three of my hands put together, about the area of a sheet of letter paper.

So it was natural that at first I thought someone might be using magic to send me a secret letter.

I racked my brain to analyze the puzzling sentences.

"Golden family... does that mean a wealthy household? If there's an advance party heading somewhere from there... could it mean a frontier? Maybe this letter was meant for another family and was sent to me by mistake?"

Seeing the cryptic sentences I couldn't understand made me suspect that might be the case. In any case, I just hoped I wasn't going crazy...

As I was scrutinizing each character trying to find hidden meanings, I noticed a mysterious number written below the ambiguously cut-off last sentence.

"Why 78?"

What could this number be hinting at? It's my habit to tap on things when deep in thought, so without thinking I raised my finger and pressed the number.

Of course, I expected my finger to just pass through the semi-transparent panel, but something surprising happened.

"Gasp!"

Most of the letter-sized panel had been blank space with only a few sentences written, but when I pressed the number, suddenly more text unfolded and appeared below.

└ [Golden Family’s Siblings’ Obsession]

(Spoiler warning) I'm not sure if the author is obsessed with settings or if they just want to torment a character other than the female lead, but they keep mentioning another character besides the protagonists.

But that character is such a frustrating sweet potato. A sweet potato bumper crop farmer. A sweet potato villain stuffing your throat full...

I kept an eye on them since it was weird how they kept appearing, but there were no major issues up to chapter 130. They haven't even met the female and male leads yet, so I don't understand why they keep being mentioned.

I'm starting to wonder if they're actually the mastermind behind everything, but that seems a bit too strange.

└[Please Help the Evil Beggar ㅠ]

Oh my, I see you here too Obsession. How many serialized works are you following?

(t/n : "evil beggar" = "unemployed")

└[Profile Pic: Save the Demon King Albert]

There's a rumor that this person is an AI bot……

└ [I’m Getting Off At This Stop]

Oh, you mean that Es-something Count's kid? I'm reading it too and it is a bit strange. I really don't get why they keep including them lol

We want to read about the male and female leads, not. some. unimportant. extra's. story. au.thor.nim.^^

(t/n : "I’m Getting Off At This Stop" is a slang for "i'm dropping this")

└ [Nam Namsoo, Director of Nam Namsoo's Academy]

Oh that one lol But doesn't their name seem a bit lazily chosen? What's with Lovely lol

As I read through the content, I gaped at some of the words. Es-something, Count's kid, the name Lovely. They were words that held no meaning individually, but when put together they pointed to something.

"...Are they talking about me right now?"

That's right.

I was Seiana Lovely Estarote. The noble daughter of Count Estarote, with the nickname Lovie.

I was a bit annoyed at the comment about my name being lazily chosen, but I pushed down my trembling feelings and calmly read the messages.

At first I thought it was text written by one person, but as I kept reading it seemed more like a transcription of a conversation between multiple people.

"This really is about me, isn't it?"

While there's no way I could be the only person in the world named Lovely, I was the only Lovely of the Estarote family.

I was the noble daughter born to the Count's family after 100 years, so my overjoyed parents chose the word meaning "lovable" as my middle name.

As a result, I was often called Lovely or the nickname Lovie rather than my actual name... There wasn't a single other female among my relatives, and it was too embarrassing a word to use for men, so there was no way anyone else would use it.

But there was something a bit strange.

"The year 224... It's currently the year 220."

The year mentioned in their conversation was in the future, not the present. There were occasional mentions of times even further in the past, but most of the talk was about after the year 224.

As I was reading, I got flustered when the text suddenly cut off in the middle, wondering how to see more. But then I noticed something new on the right side of the translucent panel.

There was a short bar-like thing attached to the upper right corner. On a hunch, I gently touched it and found I could pull it down. As I pulled, hidden text smoothly appeared.

'So this is how you see what comes next.'

Fascinated, I kept reading until I had gone through all 78 conversations. Then the floating panel slowly dissolved and disappeared.

“Ah...”

Just earlier I had been fretting about how to get rid of it, but now that it was gone I felt somewhat bewildered.

As it vanished cleanly without lingering, as if its job was done, I even felt a faint sense of regret. I took out paper and a pen from the drawer.

'If I'm not crazy and this really is a conversation revealing future events...'

I wrote down what I remembered, organizing the jumbled thoughts in my head at the same time.

If this was just my mind going strange, it would be a waste of time. But if it was real, it was right to organize it before my memory faded. I could doubt it later.

'It starts in the year 224.'

Four years from now, in the summer.

***

Perhaps the people having this conversation are beings who observe this world? Just roughly counting, there seemed to be more than ten of them watching the world I lived in, which made me feel a little uneasy.

Even feeling the gaze of others when walking down the street was unsettling, but thinking that beings from a higher dimension, perhaps even gods, were watching me made me feel not just uneasy, but even fearful.

"I suppose the one fortunate thing is that they don't seem to have noticed that I've caught on to their gaze."

In old myths, gods were petty beings who viewed humans as insignificant creatures. They enjoyed peeping into the lives of these "lesser" beings, but extremely despised the reverse situation. They were selfish entities.

A well-known example was the story of a traveler who accidentally saw a virgin goddess bathing and lost both his eyes as punishment.

'She should have bathed in her own temple instead of some random lake...'

It was an infuriating and unfair tale that everyone knew, since the traveler hadn't even intended to look.

If they would take both eyes for an unintended mistake without mercy, I had no idea what they might take from me if they knew I had eavesdropped on their conversation.

"…Especially since the content of the conversation is a prophecy."

It wouldn't end with just my eyes.

I even started to think that it would have been much better if I had just gone crazy and seen a hallucination…

Sighing, I looked down at the paper where I had taken notes.

The story they were talking about begins in the year 224. It starts with someone called the female lead meeting someone called the male lead.

Whether "female lead" and "male lead" are names, or if they are general terms for the roles of fate determined by the gods…
