The new General Manager was none other than Shen Mianyin!
While everyone believed that anyone else might get the position—except Shen Mianyin, who had only recently joined the company—the General Manager role was indeed given to her.
After receiving the announcement email, Gao Zhoulei hesitated before approaching Shen Mianyin. “Director Shen… no, General Manager Shen… um… does this mean I won’t be working under you anymore?”
Shen Mianyin smiled slightly and asked, “Do you want to switch roles?”
“Can I still stay with you, as your assistant?” Gao Zhoulei’s eyes lit up with hope.
Shen Mianyin shook her head. The former General Manager’s assistant had been performing well and wasn’t one of Zhou Jicai’s people. There was no reason to suddenly reassign them without cause.
“Have you ever considered working in sales planning?” Shen Mianyin asked with a smile.
“Me? Can I really do that?” Gao Zhoulei seemed a bit unsure of himself.
“Why not? You’ve worked with me on quite a few partnership projects,” Shen Mianyin said encouragingly. “Many of your suggestions were excellent and got approved. Plus, the final proposals were all drafted by you personally.”
“I want to hand over the Qitai partnership to you,” Shen Mianyin said. “This time, the Qitai project has already been developed thoroughly, and the final plan has been agreed upon with them. All that’s left is to sign the contract.”
“From now on, you’ll be responsible for handling the cooperation with Qitai. You can also start exploring other partnership opportunities. It’s much more promising than being an assistant.” She looked at Gao Zhoulei with an encouraging smile. “What do you think?”
“You really think I can handle it?” Gao Zhoulei still seemed a bit unsure of himself.
"I think it doesn't matter what I think; it’s about you having confidence in yourself," Shen Mianyin said with a gentle smile.
"If you don’t like it, then don’t force yourself. Too much pressure might backfire and end up doing more harm than good. I’m just giving you a suggestion based on how we’ve worked together so far."
Gao Zhoulei thought for a moment, then took a deep breath and said, "I want to give it a try."
"After working with you these past days, I really admire and envy your work ethic and ability. I’ve often thought how amazing it would be if I could be as capable as you."
He clenched his fists, determination shining in his eyes. "If you believe in me, then I believe in myself too. I’ll give it my best shot, Ms. Shen!"
"Good," Shen Mianyin said as she handed the Qitai collaboration case to Gao Zhoulei. "Go ahead and contact their side to finalize the signing process."
"Got it," Gao Zhoulei replied, fully aware that most of the work on this case had already been handled by Shen Mianyin.
By handing it over to him, she was essentially letting him take the credit, clearly creating an opportunity for him. Gao Zhoulei felt deeply grateful. "Thank you, Ms.Shen."
The collaboration with Qitai proceeded smoothly. Jincheng, being a major company with strong capabilities, had proactively extended an olive branch to Qitai.
Qitai, in turn, was eager to focus its efforts on solidifying the partnership with Jincheng.
That day, Gu Luoan finally had a moment to focus and suddenly remembered Qitai. He called his assistant in.
"Have we been contacted recently by a company called Qitai about potential collaboration?"
"Qitai?" The assistant was momentarily confused. "Let me check."
After a while, the assistant returned. "Yes, they did reach out, but it's been quite some time."
"Get in touch with them," Gu Luoan instructed. "Tell them I'm interested in discussing a potential collaboration and arrange a time to meet."
The assistant paused, puzzled. The president had just asked about Qitai's emails, which meant he hadn't seen the details of Qitai's message. Yet, he was now expressing interest in collaborating with them?
"Understood," the assistant responded, though his curiosity remained. He proceeded to contact Qitai.
After reaching out to Qitai, the assistant returned to Gu Luoan. "President, I spoke with Qitai. They mentioned that they are already collaborating with Jincheng. However, they said that if there's an opportunity, they would be willing to work with our company on other products."
The assistant was confused. How could a small company like Qitai be so in demand?
It seemed as though there would be other opportunities to cooperate with them in the future, which was considered quite an honor.
"Jincheng?" Gu Lo'an asked in surprise. "Who from Jincheng negotiated the cooperation with Qitai?"
"Uh..." The assistant hesitated for a moment before replying, "It was Director Shen. I heard she has been promoted to General Manager. However, the cooperation with Qitai is currently being handled by one of Director Shen's subordinates."
"Got it. You can leave now." Gu Lo'an waved the assistant off, frowning in confusion.
In the previous life, Shen Mianyin never left the Su family nor joined Jincheng. It was he who had negotiated the cooperation with Qitai.
Why was everything so different this time?
Now, it was Jincheng cooperating with Qitai.
Only he knew how much profit Qitai's products would bring to the company.
In the previous life, Sheng'an had risen to a new level precisely because of the cooperation with Qitai.
How could Jincheng be interested in Qitai this time?
In the previous life, Qitai, as a small company, was desperately seeking partnerships, but no one took them seriously.
Gu Luoan couldn't understand; the changes in this life were just too many.

Shen Mianyin handed the Qitai business to Gao Zhoulei to manage, and naturally, others were envious.
It was as if Gao Zhoulei had just picked up something that was already set in motion.
But it also proved one thing: those who stayed close to Shen Mianyin would definitely reap the benefits.
Gao Zhoulei had only followed Shen Mianyin for a short time, and now he was already reaping such big rewards.
When Shen Mianyin first joined the company, Lin Jinshen had arranged an assistant for her. No one was willing, except for Gao Zhoulei, who had no objections.
Now, others couldn't help but feel a bit regretful.
If they had agreed at the time and worked well with Shen Mianyin, would the Qitai partnership have gone to them instead?
Lin Jinshen didn’t know whether Shen Mianyin had done this intentionally, but the results were undeniably effective.
Zhou Jicai had left, and it was uncertain whether his former assistant would continue to support him.
Now that he was following Shen Mianyin, and Shen Mianyin had made such a move, the assistant, if not foolish, should be thinking about their future and stick with Shen Mianyin.
Shen Mianyin had also successfully negotiated the partnership with Kewei, as well as with Gu Huaizhi.
She placed the finalized cooperation plan on Lin Jinshen's desk.
When Xu Huaixiang came in to deliver some documents to Lin Jinshen, she caught a glimpse of the cooperation plan on his desk.
It actually happened.
Xu Huaixiang muttered to herself as she left Lin Jinshen's office.
Back when Zhou Jicai left the company, he had secretly spoken to her.
He asked her to keep him informed about Shen Mianyin’s whereabouts at all times.
Although Xu Huaixiang had agreed verbally, she hadn’t given it much thought.
It was clear that Zhou Jicai still held a grudge and had no intention of letting Shen Mianyin off the hook.
But what could someone who had been kicked out of the company like a stray dog really do, even if he bore a grudge? Zhou Jicai had already lost his value, and Xu Huaixiang had no intention of risking her job for him.
Sitting at her desk, she was still hesitating about whether to inform Zhou Jicai about this. If the deal actually went through, Shen Mianyin’s future position would likely become unshakable.
Just then, a coworker rushed over in a hurry. "Xiangxiang, have you heard the news?"
"What?" Xu Huaixiang thought to herself, baffled. "What have I heard?"
"Just now, Lin Yunan from Zhilan came!" her coworker whispered.
"So what if he came? Why are you making such a big deal out of it?" Xu Huaixiang chuckled.
"He's here to apologize to Shen Mianyin! He’s already gone to her office!" the coworker continued, not noticing how Xu Huaixiang’s expression suddenly darkened.
Still muttering to herself, she added, "I thought Lin Yunan was just bluffing, but who would’ve thought he’d actually come to apologize to Shen Mianyin?"
"Even though Shen Mianyin is now the general manager, she still can't compare to Lin Yunan, the dignified president and eldest son of the Lin family," a colleague murmured.
"Do you think the president promoted Shen Mianyin to save face for Lin Yunan, so it wouldn’t look too embarrassing when he apologizes?"
Xu Huaixiang suddenly stood up, grabbed her phone, and hurriedly left.
"Hey, where are you going?" the colleague asked, puzzled. "Why is she suddenly reacting so strongly?"
Xu Huaixiang went to the company rooftop, which was empty. She opened her phone’s contact list and found Zhou Jicai’s number.
